Final Cut

After receiving feedback from our rough cut we began to develop to improve our film to the best possible standard. The main thing needed for our film which we had the most feedback about was the soundtrack. We worked in garage band to achieve a suitable soundtrack which we felt added a more horror element. We tried to use a consistent soundtrack which sounded ambient as for the majority of the film our characters where outside. We also tried to create the killer to have mystery by having a sound which was heard each time he appeared. The story line for our film was also a problem as some people admitted the story line was difficult to understand. To improve the viewers knowledge we added a phone call conversation from the killer at the start of the film and a longer tied up seen at the end of the film. This also enabled us to use more camera techniques and made us able to have a longer film. We also added our logo to the film which was a key element in making our film more professional. I am now much more happy with my final cut and feel it is suitable for the genre, shows a range of camera techniques and has a suitable story line which is revealing but still has an element of mystery.
